C.H.A.O.S.
stands for Christians Hearing And Obeying the Savior, and is the name of Anaheim CRC’s ministry to 7
th and 8
th grade students. We meet during the school year on the 2
nd and 4
th Mondays of the month from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the church. Our meetings include crazy games,
team competitions, some time to just “hang out” and play foosball or ping-pong, praise music with our own band (which you can participate in if you like), snacks and a Bible lesson. We meet with the L.I.F.E. (High School) group most of the time but sometimes have our own small group time. C.H.A.O.S. is designed to be a place where students can feel accepted and safe and where they can bring their friends, have a great time and either learn about Jesus for the first time or develop their relationship with Him.
The group is lead by our Youth Pastor, Rob Samuelson (
CHAOS@anaheimcrc.org), who has almost 20 years of youth ministry experience. He is assisted by a great group of volunteer leaders including parents and other young adults.
Besides our Monday night meetings we also offer special activities like Laser Tag, Miniature Golf, movie nights, video game parties, pool parties and service projects like feeding the homeless. One of the highlights of our year is the 5-day retreat in local mountains called Camp Dunamis. This great Christian Youth Camp is offered the last week of June and the first week of July.
