Current Events
The newspaper has all sorts of interesting articles worth talking about! Find a newspaper and choose one article. Read the article carefully. Then write a report about that particular article.
Top of your paper must include (5 points total);
- Title of Newspaper
- Title of Article
- Day
- Date
- Your name
Then answer the questions below, in paragraphs. (15 points total).
- WHO is the article about? What names are mentioned? 2pts.
- WHAT is the article about? (Give a brief summery). 3pts.
- WHAT do you think will happen next? 1pt.
- WHEN did the event(s) in this article occur? 1pt.
- WHERE did the event(s) in this article occur? 1pt.
- WHY do you think this happened? 2pts.
- WHY is this important to my class, my state, my country, or the world? 2 pts.
- WHAT is my Christian point of view about this article? 3pts.
Only three students a week will write and present their current events. Each one will be given a different topic; international, national and local. By the end of the year they will have done all three. Once all three are completed they can do an article of their choice, for example sports, then the rotation begins again.
