December 15 - 19
Hello everyone! I would like to wish my students and their families a very blessed Christmas and a relaxing holiday with family and friends. We can be thankful for the gift of Christ our Lord. God's blessings for 2009 and see you in the new year.
Australia projects: All students have presented their projects to the class. Very impressive work. We have learned so much about our Global neighbours from "down under." I was very impressed with the Christian perspective statements and essential questions. I will share the results of my observations with the students and their parents at the January conferences.
Bible: We are studying the prophet Isaiah.
Literature: We continue with work for "A Horse and His Boy." We have now finished work for Chapter 11 and will continue into January.
Current Events: International - Caleb, National - Curtis, Local - Ava. Some students forgot their current event last week - they too must bring their current events in.
Quadraramas: Ask your child how their book reports are coming along. Ask them what a quadrarama is. They are working hard on them and they look great.
READ: Over the holidays the students need to read on a daily basis. We have discussed the importance of this as a class. The first week of school in January the students must be prepared to work on another book report.
