The history of Beacon Christian Schools dates back as early as 1955. A society began with a vision to establish a place of learning. A vision to provide a school in which the truths that are taught in scripture would not be separated from all of learning. This society formed into the Association for Christian Education of St. Catharines. In 1959 their first school was established. It was called Calvin Memorial Christian School.
In 1969 the seconcary school was established. It was called Beacon Christian High School. Many years later, in 2001, the Association decided to change the name of its schools to one name Beacon Christian Schools.
You will find that throughout our entire history Beacon has strived to serve Christian families throughout the Niagara community, by providing an alternative high quality educational experience providing students with a life perspective that supports Christian values.
