Our Pre-Kindergarten program is intended to help prepare children for success in a schooling environment. Education is a means for children to expand upon their person “universe of knowledge.”
Our daily routine includes the following areas:
- Free Choice
- Religon ( Gifts God Gave Us )
- Circle Time ( Prayer, Calendar, Weather, Sharing )
- Nutritional Snack
- Language Arts ( Story & Art Project )
In addition to the regular classroom curriculum, pre-kindergarten also receives music, computer, and physical education classes.
One of the most important features of any early childhood program is class size. The pre-kindergarten program at Brother Dutton is limited to 16 children in a session with a teacher and an aide. This class size ensures that every child will receive individual attention. Children must be four years of age by September 1 of the school year to enroll.
Pre-Kindergarten is offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. You may enroll your child for half-day or all-day pre-kindergarten. Half day is 8:10-11:30 and all day is 8:10 – 3:00.
We believe that children are individual “gemstones” sent from God and when nurtured and guided will create a wonderful treasure.
