A Note From Your Principal…………………
We have completed our IOWA Tests during this second week of test taking. Our students in grades two through eight are tested each year to determine their progress as learners as well as to gauge the effectiveness of our curriculum and instructions at Brother Dutton School. We should receive our results to send home to parents in early January, 2010.
Please remember our annual Canned Food Drive is in full operation until Friday, November 13th. We have a goal to collect 900 food items this year. If the students go beyond the 900 items targeted, I will promise to KISS A PIG at a special “Promise Keeping Assembly” after the food drive is concluded.
Mrs. Ramsey is requesting some help from parents who could assist in staffing the “Snack Shop” on a rotating schedule from 2:50 to 3:15pm. If you could help, please call Mrs. Ramsey at 364-2825.
The next Brownie meeting will be October 18 at 3:30pm. We will be participating in the Scouting Bike Rodeo in the back parking lot of OLA. Your cookie order forms are due as well, so be sure to bring your helmet, your bike and your cookie form. Please contact Theresa Wilson (608-302-7472) or Kelly Sage (608-363-8399) for any questions.
A reminder that Brother Dutton parent teacher conferences will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 27 and 28. Please return your conference request forms to the office by Monday, October 19.
Halloween parties are in the air!! Our classroom parties will be held during the afternoon of Wednesday, October 28. There will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday and Friday, October 29 and 30 due to State Teachers Convention.
