Louisiana . . . Be Blessed and be a Blessing!
On Saturday, February 7 we left for a small town outside New Orleans, LA to work on a service project. After several misadventures (a trailer tire blowout and later a broken fan belt) we arrived on site late in the evening. Sunday found us attending a very different style of church service and then surveying the area. Most of the flood’s physical damage has been removed. During the week we worked on four different houses and received a tour of the 9th ward in New Orleans on Thursday after work. Through conversations with “our” homeowners and Mack, our tour guide, it was apparent that the damage done by Katrina was much more than property damage. Through faith-based work projects God is repairing both kinds of damage and blessing both the giver and receiver. If you get a chance - Go! Be blessed and be a blessing!
