Mission Statement:  
The mission of Concordia College is to educate its students in accord with the teachings of the Christian faith for lives of responsible leadership and service in the church, community,and the world. To achieve this mission, Concordia engages its students in programs and activities which identify and meet their spiritual, academic, social, and physical needs.  
 
1. Challenging and rigorous academic programs leading to a Bachelors degree in early childhood or elementary teacher education, or an Associate of Arts degree in general studies.
 
2. Extensive developmental skills courses and tutorial services for the under-prepared student.
 
3. Counseling and testing, career planning services, and intervention programs in substance abuse and other problems.
 
4. Regular chapel worship experiences, opportunities for Bible study, dormitory devotions, and spiritual counseling.
 
5. Opportunities for involvement in athletics, drama, Ensemble, production of a campus newspaper, and participation in various community services and activities in Selma.
 
INSTITUTIONAL GOALS
 
1. To provide an environment which helps students grow in Christian faith.
2. To provide an environment which fosters creative, inquiring and discriminating minds;
3. To provide effective learning experiences for students with differing needs, abilities, interests, goals, and ages so they may receive both a general education as well as specific, in-depth knowledge in a chosen area of study.
4. To provide an opportunity for total student development through a comprehensive and systematic program of student support services designed to complement the academic program by creating and maintaining a spiritual, cultural and social environment conducive to student life.
5. To continue to improve the quality of education by providing instructional and learning resources, support and facilities that strengthen academic programs and promote an environment conducive to the development of competence in personnel and pride in the institution;
6. To provide both associate and baccalaureate programs which prepare students for further study or the job market;
7. To provide credit and non-credit courses and other services designed to meet the needs of constituent communities.
