Congratulations Shanita Aaron
The Children’s Defense Fund has selected graduating Concordia senior, Shanita Aaron, to represent Alabama at its 45h Annual Youth Advocate Leadership Training Summit, which will be held for college students at Haley Farm in Clinton, Tennessee from April 4th to 6th.Shanita was selected because of her passion, leadership and dedication to children and family issues.
As a conference participant, Shanita will meet students with like interests and leaders who will help clarify challenges families face and encourage continued advocacy. Among other exciting topics, Shanita will hear presentations such as: Building Sustainable Coalitions; Advocacy 201: Making Champions of You and Your Elected Officials; and Building, Growing, and Sustaining a Vibrant Online Community.
