Alabama Virtual Library - Find articles in databases on a variety of topics; many articles are full-text. This resource is a wonderful tax sponsored reference site for all Alabamians. Not on campus? Your local public library will give you a free AVL card! Once assigned a username and password you just need a computer with an Internet connection.
FirstSearch - Find citations and abstracts for journal articles. Also, this includes WorldCat with which you may search libraries worldwide.

Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature - Full text from 1994. This replaces the old printed books. There are 209 electronic FULL TEXT periodicals and journals here for you. Please use them!
American History In Video - A great collection of video resources covering American history. A wonderful complement to the study of any era of moderrn American history.
African-American History Online - A very student-friendly database with a multitude of resources for over 500 years of African American history.
Bloom's Literary Reference Online - Literary criticism and analysis, a vast resource concerning literature themes, movements, genres, and more. This site even assists you in writing your own essays about literary topics!
