Curtis Wimberly enters his Third year as the Head Coach of Concordia College Fast-Pitch Softball after coaching football, baseball, for seven years and coaching fast pitch softball one season at Selma High school. Coach Wimberly began his coaching duties of the CCS Lady Hornet Softball Team in January 2007.
In 2009, Coach Wimberly goes to battle foes with an entirely new group of young ladies composed of mostly freshmen and sophomores. Coach Wimberly hopes that this is the start of a winning tradition at Concordia –Selma.
Coach Wimberly is a native of Selma, Alabama. As a player, he began his baseball career in 1986 and participated as a freshman at his alma mater Selma High school. Wimberly went on to participate four years as a catcher at Alabama State University.
Coach Wimberly is married to the former Mrs. Felicia Seay of Chicago, IL. They have one daughter.
