Concordia College-Selma has been selected as a Tom Joyner Foundation School for the Month of September 2005. Over the past six years, The Tom Joyner Foundation has awarded more than $18 million to thousands of deserving students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the United States.
According to Concordia College President Dr. Julius Jenkins, "Concordia College-Selma is pleased and honored to be a Tom Joyner Foundation School of the Month. Because of the ongoing need to provide substantial financial aid for our students, The Tom Joyner Foundation fund-raising effort, along with current activities, will prove to be invaluable. It will help our students successfully address the financial challenge of attending college."
One hundred percent of funds received on behalf of Concordia College-Selma will be awarded to students through Concordia’s financial aid office. All donations are tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to The Tom Joyner Foundation for Concordia College-Selma, and mailed to:

Concordia College-Selma is leading the effort to raise funds. From now through the end of September 2005, The Tom Joyner Morning Show- a nationally syndicated radio show heard by more than 8 million listeners weekly- will feature Concordia College-Selma.
The Tom Joyner Morning show airs nationally across more than 100 markets and can be heard locally from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. CST on the following radio stations: WBHK 98.7 FM (Birmingham); WAGF 101.3 FM (Dothan); WSBM 1340 AM (Florence); WLOR 1550 AM (Huntsville); WDLT 98.3 FM (Mobile); WWMG 97.1 FM (Montgomery); WJAM 107.9 FM (Selma); WTUG 92.9 FM (Tuscaloosa).
