In third grade Reading the children have completed the stories in the basal textbooks and have begun reading from Science supplement books on a variety of topics. Mrs. Foucault is currently reading a second C.S. Lewis novel to the children.

In Science the children are studying Oceans.

In Bible the third and fourth grade are studying God's law the Ten Commandments.

In Art the third and fourth grade children are making projects related to the Science theme of Oceans.

Dear DCS families,

I teach Reading and Mathematics to third grade students and Science, Bible, and Art to third and fourth graders.

I reside with my husband of thirty-six years in Whitewater,WI.  We have three grown and married sons.  We are blessed with four grandchildren and a fifth is expected in June.

I am a member of CrossPointe Church in Whitewater, WI.  I am on the music ministry team there. I enjoy  teaching in a Christian school where I can express my faith in the truth of God's word.

Sincerely,

Barbara Foucault

May 29, 2008

Dear parents (of the third and fourth grade children),

In Reading we have been sharing the supplemental Science booklets in the room.  Presently we are reading about topics relating to the Ocean.  Mrs. Foucault is reading  The Magicians Nephew  by C.S. Lewis during a portion of the class time.

In Mathematics class the children are working on Unit 11 of Journal Two. Please refer to the Parent Letter for Unit 11 as you assist your child with the Home  Links.

In Bible we are studying the Ten Commandments and their meaning. We have been assigned John 6:32-33 to memorize for the test on June 11Th.

In Science class we are studying Oceans.  The children have activity pages completed in class and unit review sheets in their Science folder.  The test over the material will be Friday, June 6Th.

In Art class we are completing projects with an ocean theme.

In Christ,

Barb Foucault
