Preschool teacher

Welcome to Delavan Christian School! I am in my 21st year of teaching! I did my undergarduate studies at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa. My graduate work was at UW-Whitewater. I began my career as a special education teacher at Walworth Elementary School. After teaching for three years at Walworth, I began at DCS, teaching first and second grade. After two years of teaching in this position, the preschool position opened up and I have been there since! My husband and I have been blessed with 5 children, 3 of which attend Delavan Christian School. Our two oldest sons attend Delavan-Darien High School.

I find it a privilege to be a teacher. Spending time with children and helping them to grow in God's love is the best job ever. We would love to have you come visit our preschool classes and see what we are all about!

PRESCHOOL

We have had a fantastic start to the school year. We have been finding circles and red objects all over the room. Bringing in pictures that start with the letters A, B, and C has been fun! We have discovered how much God has given to us in our big, wonderful world. We anticpated planting bulbs outside with our reading friends, but were rained out. The weather looks nice for Thursday, so we will be Planting bulbs that day with our reading friends.

Next week, we will take a nature walk, experiencing the gifts God has blessed us with. We will also head off to a wonderful orchard called Royal Oaks.

We look forward to looking closer at the letters D, E, and F along with the shape of a square, the number 2 and finding orange items.

This week Friday we will celebrate families with having our annual fall family night.

Three-Year-Old Preschool

Our three-year-old class has been enjoying God's wonderful world. We planted seeds with our reading friends last week and look forward to watching them grow. On Wednesday, we went outside with our reading friends and planted bulbs. On Monday, we will be heading off to Royal Oaks Apple Orchard.

Earlier this month, we celebrated four birthdays! On Wednesday, we will celebrate two more birthdays! Happy birthday!!!
