Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12

Panther Partners

Welcome to the Delavan Christian School Panther Partners!

The Delavan Christian School Guild (now the Panther Partners) has been an ongoing fundraising committee for over 25 years. I began as different groups called circles that met at the homes of people who had students in the school. Over time, the circles formed one group now known as the Guild.

Panther Partners is made up of individuals who are interested in and supportive of Christian education. Guild members may include Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents, Relatives, Alumni, and Friends of DCS.

Panther Partners raises funds which directly and indirectly support Delavan Christian School. These funds help defray the cost of tuition, sponsor scholarships, allow the teachers to purchase little extras for their classrooms, and allow the students to attend cultural events.

This is all possible due to the committement of the Panther Partners members, Officers, and various fundraiser chairs. To these people, go a great deal of thanks.

How Do You Raise The Funds Necessary?
Panther Partners sponsors many fundraisers throughout the school year. These fundraisers are:

What is The Annual Auction? The auction is held the last weekend of October. This is our biggest, most intense, and most fun fundraiser of the year.

Magazine Sales- Held for several weeks in the Fall of the year. This is a great opportunity for anyone to subscribe to new magazines, and renew their favorites.

Poinsettia Sale ? held in the late Fall. A beautiful selection of poinsettia plants is available for Christmas decorating and gift-giving.

Kringle Sale ? held just before Easter. This is a new fundraiser, but is very popular. A large assortment of yummy kringle from Racine Kringle is available for sale.

T.R.I.P. (Tuition Reduction Incentive Program) ? held every other week throughout the school year. Purchase scrip (gift cards) from many of your favorite businesses. They make great gifts.

We have many smaller fundraisers such as Campbell?s Labels, Pick N Save, Schmalings receipts, as well as Mints, Knives, and Cookbooks, but those listed above are our major sources of income.

It Seems like participating In the Guild requires a lot of time, is there a large time commitment?
Actually, it doesn't. Panther Partners meets 4 times a year: the second Tuesday of August, November, January, and May. Extra meetings may be called if the need arises.

How Is The Guild Governed?
Four officers are elected from the Panther Partners membership, which consists of Parents, Grandparents, Relatives, and Friends of DCS. These four offices in the Guild are President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

If you would like more information, please contact the school office at 262-728-5667.

What we collect at Delavan Christian School

We save many things as fundraisers here at DCS and thought it might be good to give an update on what we collect and what we have been able to earn recently through these projects.

Campbell’s Soup Labels
We have saved these for a long time and have gotten many things over the years.  We haven’t redeemed any labels for the last two years as we are saving up for something larger.  We currently have over 10,000 labels as so many people have been saving for us!  Thank you so much!  This program has changed a bit in regards to what part of the label needs to be saved.  For most products, we now need the UPC rather than the label front.  (Please review the next page for details.)  A great big thank you to Bea Terpstra who faithfully trims all the labels and to Sue Olson who coordinates the orders from the school.  Thanks Bea and Sue!

General Mills Box Tops
We have also saved these for many years.  Each Box Top, found on many General Mills products, is worth $.10 for our school.  This past year, we received a check for over $800 from General Mills for the Box Tops we send in.  Our new Box Top Lady, Gloria Van Dyken, does a great job of clipping, counting, and sending in our Box Tops.  Thanks Gloria!

Ink Jet Cartridges and Cell Phones
In more recent years, we have started saving used cell phones and empty ink jet cartridges.  These can be turned in for cash refunds and the school has received checks totaling over $250 in the past year.  We have a drop off box in our school office and the cartridges are picked up by Cartridge World and a check is mailed to us.  A super simple fundraiser!

Nestle Pure Life Water Bottle Labels
Last year we became aware of a “Go Play” program from Nestle water bottles.  We save the labels from Nestle water bottles and send them in.  Each label is worth two points that we can redeem for various sports equipment.  Last year, even though we joined the program mid-year, we were able to choose a table tennis set, a ball pump and a football.  This year we hope to collect even more labels and earn more sports equipment.  Maria De Jong has volunteered to count and mail in these labels.  Thanks to Maria!

McDonald’s Receipts
One of our newest fundraisers is saving McDonald’s receipts.  All receipts collected from McDonalds restaurants in Southeastern Wisconsin are worth points that can be redeemed for all kinds of things, ranging from art supplies to classroom furniture to audio/visual equipment.  We have so far accumulated over 3000 receipts and will redeem them near the end of the year.  Jan Olson made us aware of this program and has also volunteered to collect and turn in the receipts.  Thanks, Jan!

Home Team Rewards
In the last couple of months, we have just started saving Home Team Rewards codes.  This code is found on Fast Fixin’ products (chicken nuggets, Italian meatballs, bbq rib sandwiches, etc.) made by Advance Brands.  The program is very similar to the Box Top program and each code here is worth $.30.  Jan Olson has agreed to run this program as well.  Thanks again, Jan!

As you can see, we do save many things!  The few extra moments it takes to clip a BoxTop or cut off a label can help our school so much!  If you are able to help, we appreciate it so much!  We have collection boxes in our school office for all of these programs or feel free to give these items to any student or teacher!  You could also mail them to:  DCS, 848 Oak St., Delavan, WI   53115.  Thank you so much for your support!
