Curriculum: |
|
|
|
Noah's Ark Christian Pre-Kindergarten will indeed have a Christ-centered curriculum. Each week our unity of study will be carried out in many areas of growth including music, movement, listening, art, observation and experimentation, selected Bible stories (or devotions), activities, and games.
Hands-on units in the natural sciences help young children see the order, precision, and inter-dependence in God's wonderful world. Several field trips also provide them with real first-hand experiences.
The children will also have time for free-play. Play is a child's work. It is an activity for the mind and body and helps growth in all areas. Play helps a child feel successful in the world. In it a child learns to make choices and develop the responsibility with that choice.
A child who plays hard, works hard–the values and habits of a lifetime are being established.

We recently asked our pre-kindergarten families what they thought about Noah’s Ark. This is a sampling of what they said:
“Noah’s Ark seems to instill delight and joy of our God into every animal examined, every holiday celebrated, and each fellow classmate befriended. I am daily amazed at what my daughter learns: from bats to giraffes, planets to rockets, Christmas to Easter, warm fuzzies to cold pricklies, paleontologists to farmers, prayer to praise songs, polite manners to putting things away...and most importantly, an intangible sense of the wonder and excitement of learning about all of it.”
–mom of Claire.
“It is such an exceptional place that is really beyond words...Ben always feels successful and is surrounded by such intense love.”
–parent of Ben
“It came highly recommended and has surpassed our expectations! Mrs. Konyndyk and Mrs. Clark are amazing teachers!”
–mom of Olivia
“You get to learn about cool things like dinosaurs and outer space. You get to make new friends and my teachers teach me stuff and help when I don’t understand.”
–Ashlyn, age 5
Noah’s Ark still has a few openings for the 2007-08 school year! Call 698-8660 today for information.
