A child's smile,
A warm hug,
A parent's thank you.
A scrawled I Love You,
A lesson well taught,
Growth in a student -
More dear to my heart,
Than riches en masse,
These are my TREASURES.
They are my pearls of great worth,
My precious jewels,
The silver and gold of my emotions,
The WHY of my teaching.
