Our School Vision

Students
Our intent is to bring the Word of God to fruition in a lasting way. "Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it." (Proverbs 22:6) Each student, at the level of graduation, should be equipped with discernment and understanding. Our students will reason persuasively and speak precisely. They will be capable of evaluating their entire life experience in the light of the Scriptures. They will be able to complete these tasks with humility and eagerness in joyful submission to God. Our desire for our students is that they not be swayed toward evil by our cultural influences. We aim to find them well prepared in all situations, possessing both knowledge and the wisdom of how to apply it; that they be both socially graceful and spiritually gracious; and that they be grateful in all things, worshippers of God. OUR GREATEST HOPE for our students in that they fulfill man's purpose, which is to Glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.

Staff
Our selection of staff will be based foremost upon Scriptural revelation that "a student when he is fully trained will be like his teacher." (Luke 6:40) With this in mind, we will seek out a teaching and administration staff that models a Christ-like behavior as they themselves continue to mature in Christ and grow in knowledge of God. Our educators will be diligent in their work, gifted in teaching, and exhibit a love for their students as well as for their subjects. We desire that they clearly understand classical education and posses the skills to carry out its methodology in the classroom. Effingham Christian School staff will coach and nurture new staff and will serve as academic mentors to students. OUR GREATEST HOPE for our staff is that they will display the same qualities we aim to cultivate our students for the glorification of God.

Parents
Just as we embrace our role as servant to the Godly home, we will encourage parents to give of their service; praying fervently, volunteering when needed, and remaining consistently involved and supportive of our Christ-centered goals for classical education. Just as we are to be assistant to parents, we will encourage parents to assist us in reinforcement of biblical teaching.

"And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up." - Deuteronomy 6:6,7

Community
We aim to have an ever increasing, overall impact for the kingdom of Christ and ultimately for the glory of God. We seek to accomplish this by:

  • Being above reproach in our business dealing and supportive of the local business community
  • Exemplifying the unity of the body of Christ, to develop greater fellowship and understanding among churches
  • Working hard at serving the needs of our community
  • Modeling Christ-like attitudes and actions among our students and staff
  • Building a heritage of educational excellence
