Wonderful Wednesdays
WONDERFUL WEDNESDAYS
 
Wonderful Wednesdays are a great way to get a lift midweek with dinner starting at 6:00 p.m. Reservations may be made through the main office or by signing up on the Sunday tear-off sheet. Bible study and activities for all ages are part of the evening events with Sanctuary Choir practicing from 7:00-8:30 each week.
 
 
Children’s Activities  
Nursery is available starting at 6:30 PM in Room 102-103 for infants through 2-years.
 
6:30 – 6:55 p.m.
Praise Plus – Children ages 3 through K5 join together in Room 107 for a special time of praise to God.
Children’s Music Project – Children in grades 1 through 5 will gather in the JeffordsCenter and proceed to the Choir Room for music instruction. Special projects are planned for presentation during the year.
Children must be under direct parental supervision during this time, if not attending one of these activities.
 
7:00-8:00 PM
Young Children (3/4 years by Sept. 1 and K5) Room 99/100
Preschool children will participate in lively Bible study activities by a team of loving teachers.
 
Elementary Children: Grade 1 - Grade 5
Elementary children enjoy a variety of activities on Wednesday. Bible study, arts/crafts, computers, outreach Good Neighbor Care visitation and special fellowship activities are all part of a rotation schedule.
 
Rainbows: K5-Grade 5 (Fall session begins in October)
Rainbows is a special program designed to help children who have undergone a difficult loss in their life. Specially trained leaders facilitate this group and participants must register in advance to attend.
 
 
Youth 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Jr. and Sr. Youth Groups, grades 6-12, gather each week starting at 6:30 in the YouthCenter for a time of announcements and youth led worship followed by small group Bible study.

·        When Words Fail Us: A Study of the Book of Psalms
September 16-October 21 (Six Wednesdays)
Words often fail us. We may be too hurt to speak, moved too deeply to express gratitude appropriately, or feeling too inadequate to know what to say. Psalms is a rich collection of God’s revelation to us as well as a treasure of words that can help express our emotions when words fail us. The Psalms express the full spectrum of emotion from joy to anger to lament. This class will provide an overview of Psalms, and equip the participant to taught by the Psalms as well as use the Psalms as prayers to God.
 
·        The Kingdom Parables: A Study of Matthew 13
November 4-18 (Three Weeks)
“The Kingdom of Heaven is like…?” Good question. Come discover what Matthew 13 reveals about the nature of the Kingdom of Heaven. This three week study will provide some insight what we should expect about the nature of life currently in the Kingdom of Heaven.
 
·        When The Tides Turned: A Study of The Nativity
December 2 and 9
The birth narratives of Jesus are generally later additions to the manuscripts that became the Bible. Why were they included? What do we discover in them? The attendants in this two-night class will discover the history of the birth stories, their significance for that culture, and how they speak to us today.
 
The Journey of Faith – Room 203/204
Leaders: Jane Hubbard, Pastor Barnabas Sprinkle
7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Participants in the “The Journey of Faith" class will explore how our personal life journeys connect with God's. Expect fun, lively discussion and personal growth from time together with others as you grow in faith as a disciple of Jesus Christ.  
 
Band of Brothers - Room 206
Men’s Ministry Leadership
7:00- 8:00 p.m.
Band of Brothers --- This men’s ministry study group will be studying the book of Genesis.
 
Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace - Room 201
Leaders: Ed Ireland and Patty McDonald
6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Dave Ramsey, a well known Christian speaker with a nationally syndicated talk show, has developed a video/small group discussion course. A new Financial Peace University course will begin for Jan-May to assist in managing your financial resources in a Godly manner. Preregistration was required in advance for this class; however, late registration may be possible by contacting one of the leaders.
