Children in Grades K - 5
Elementary children in grades 1-5 participate in Workshop Rotation Model learning centers during our two Sunday School hours. Over a five year span, basic and concrete stories of the Bible and essential faith concepts are taught with a single study focus for several consecutive weeks. The children are grouped in age appropriate classes with an adult to shepherd them each week as they encounter the story through a variety of learning mediums including art, computers, storytelling, drama, games, cooking, videos and science led by teams of dedicated adult volunteers. The same rotation taught at 9:30 is also taught at 11:00 a.m. We encourage parents to worship with their children at one of our three Sunday morning worship hours then attend an adult class while their children enjoy the weekly workshop rotation.

Effective September thru May, Wonderful Wednesday night programs for elementary ages allow children to participate in choir choices and activities following dinner with our church family in the Jeffords Center. Children may participate in our Children's Music Projects or join in PRAISE PLUS from 6:30 - 6:55 p.m. each week . At 7:00, children in grade K5 - grade 5 rotate to a different activity each week in grade appropriate groups. Bible study, crafts and outreach to our friends at Good Neighbor Care Assisted Living are part of the fun and fellowship enjoyed together.

Nothing But NETS
To conclude our Sunday summer series on Mission at Home and Abroad, some of our elementary children took to the court in an effort to raise money to buy malaria nets for people in Africa. Children and family members gathered for a hot dog dinner and to shoot basketballs. The boys and girls collected donations and petitioned pledges for each goal they could shoot in a ten minute time frame. With the money “netted” during the event, approximately 70 nets will be sent to Africa to help in the fight against malaria. Great job girls and boys!
