Welcome to The Source!

"The Lord is the source of all my righteousness and strength."  -Isaiah 45:24

The Source is where high school student ministries flow out of First Pres.

Life is hard!  Especially when you are a teenager. Our teens are bombarded all day, everywhere they turn, with messages from the world on how to live their lives.  Almost all of those messages are contradictory to what God would have them do.  Here at The Source we intertwine fellowship, mission and Biblically based study as we compare the world's messages to the Lord's.  God is our source and refuge and strength.  With Him all things are possible.

We have two opportunities for you to join us Sunday mornings.  Come at 9:30 or 11am in the Sr High room as we focus on the life of Christ.

Wonderful Wednesdays wrap up for the summer on May14th.  We will resume in September.  Get on our e-mail list for the latest happenings all summer long!

If you have any questions or concerns give me a call!  Hope to see you here,

Tonya Annis, Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries  tonya@fpcdouglasville.org

SHINE ON IN HIM

Core Values for FPC Youth Ministry

1. The purpose of every activity is to help the students love both God and their neighbor more deeply.

2. The good news of Jesus Christ needs to be related imaginatively to the various spiritual and maturity
stages of the high school and middle school students.

3. The adult leaders at FPC strive to embody the Christian faith to the students by their words and
    actions.

4. The FPC Youth Ministry needs to be a safe place where students can be respected, welcomed, and listened to.

5. The FPC Youth Ministry seeks to be family-friendly in its ministry and scheduling.

6. The FPC Youth Ministry values student ownership and involvement.

Many of the high school students at The Source participate in school athletics. Here, one of our students is seen pitching at a recent game.
