The SonRise Puppet Company
The SonRise Puppet Company is a special Junior and Senior Youth Church School class that teaches classes of elementary grade children and provides puppet shows for preschool and Kindergarten on Sunday mornings. Now in its second year, each participant is expected to sign a covenant with a minimum of a one year commitment to the class.
Each "puppeteer" has the opportunity to learn the Bible, discipline, and commitment. They learn performance, speaking, interpersonal and teaching skills. They are serving God in a performance ministry, actually leading/teaching classes to elementary age children. They will be competing in puppet festivals, and have performed in the community for the Santa Breakfast fundraiser to benefit the Douglas County Shelter. This creative environment allows students to attend Church school and learn about God through new ways.
