First Presbyterian Church is a "Partner in Education" with Burnett Elementary School. Burnett is a Title 1 school, with around 90% of students receiving free or reduced lunch. The First Pres building is located within Burnett's district, and we want to share God's love with them.

Ways you can participate:

• Mentor a student for an hour per week
• Become a "Reader Leader" to read to students from time to time
• Participate in "Triple-A Assemblies" or Career Day
• Volunteer at special service projects or events

Become a mentor!

Many Burnett students need positive role models like you! Mentors give one hour a week to visit their student, where they can play games, chat, and make a positive impact on their lives. Mentors need to complete an application, pass a background check, and attend a two-hour training.
