We all need help sometimes on life's journey. Help can take the form of prayer and emotional support, or even physical support. First Presbyterian Church is a warm, loving community. We have Stephen Ministers trained to provide emotional care through trying times, and our pastors are always available.

If you need prayer, please submit an online prayer request, or feel free to contact one of our pastors. During office hours, the church telephone number is 770-942-0710. After office hours, the answering machine will direct you to the appropriate on-call pastor's telephone number.

Also, we generously support local ministries to help those with financial needs. Practically all of our financial support flows through these ministries, who can coordinate their efforts to provide the most help to others.

If you're between jobs in this tough economy, let our GEN group help! 

GEN is God's Employment Network, a free group meeting that offers faith-based support, encouragement, job search skills, and networking opportunities. It is open to members of our community who have been caught in the economic downturn. 

GEN is not an employment agency, but its members will walk with you through your career change.  Speakers at our meetings will give you insights into creating a job search plan, resume writing, effective interviewing, and much more.GEN meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, from 6:15 to 7:45 pm, at the 
Douglasville Library,  6810 Selman Drive,  Douglasville, GA 30134, 770-942-7125.
