What's UpLink?
Uplink is the name of our prayer ministry. It's mission statement: 'Bringing the Gateway Family Together in Prayer' descibes what we want to do to unite and focus our fellowship's prayer ministry. This will be our way of enabling the prayer warriors of the church to offer prayers of thanksgiving and petition to our God on an ongoing basis.
Prayer requests will be sent out to all members with email addresses by email, and to members who do not have email by telephone. We encourage eveyone who can to be part of the most important tool God gave us to accomplish our purpose as individuals and as a church. 1. To be part of the prayer ministry, we are asking that you send an email with your name and the message "please include me in the UpLink email prayer ministry' to Office
2. These responses will grant permission to Gateway to include you in mass email prayer requests.
3. Future UpLink emails will be sent to everyone 'blind copy'. This means that you will only see your email address in the 'sent to' line of the address. There will be no need to respond to these emails unless you have specific questions.These questions will be forwarded to the sponsor of the email.
4. Prayer requests must be sponsored by one of the pastoral staff or the chairman of the Elder Board, Admin Board, or Deacon Board. This will insure that the prayer ministry maintains a high level of confidentiality and dignity. Typical prayer requests will be of the same nature that would be published in the church bulletin.
5. Individuals who do not have email addresses but are part of UpLink will be contacted by phone or visit. These members must notify the church office with their desire to be included in the prayer ministry.
6. Agreement to be in the prayer ministry is a commitment to spend deliberate time in prayer
