Libby Green
Kindergarten Teacher

I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten here at Hope. Since I was I child all I could imagine was to live and work with children overseas.  I have traveled to many different countries and Kyrgyzstan has become my home.  Children are my passion especially, "the youngest".

Jim Kriz
1st Grade Teacher

"I may be getting older, but I refuse to grow up!" This is one of my mottos, and what better way to fulfill it than to work with children? I have been teaching for over twenty years, and I remain passionate about helping students reach their God-given potential. My wife, Julie, and two sons, Wesley and Mason, have joined me in answering the call to live and serve in Bishkek.

Jeanne Broyles
6th Grade Teacher

My name is Jeanne Broyles.  This is my 5th year here at HAB.  I come from San Jose California and have taught elementary school for the better part of 14 years before children.  My husband and I came to Bishkek after he retired and our daughters were on their own.

Julie Kriz
Head Librarian

Julie's passion for reading began practically as soon as she learned to read. While some children carried around teddy bears or blankets, she carried around books, and even organized her own library as a child. When it came time to choose a career, Librarian or school teacher were the two most obvious choices. Julie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in Educational Media (school library management). She has lived in Oregon, USA, Colombia, South America, and Kyrgyzstan.

Kristen Richter
Secondary Science and Math Teacher

I?m excited about my first year in Bishkek and HAB.  I?ve taught math/science at two schools in the US and at Black Forest Academy.  I love to hike and read and am a tea connoisseur.

Jim Struthers
Secondary Science Teacher

I am from Scotland.  I might just wear the kilt if we have a national custom day!  My interests are sports (the original football game), golf, walking, and music.  I have come here after teaching 28 years in a large secondary school.  I have been here for four years.  My aim is to set up good science facilities/ curriculum and grow with students, staff, and the whole community in Kyrgyzstan.
