The Stanford 10 Achievement test is given every year to students in grades three through ten. Testing takes one week in the month of April. Test results are returned to school during the summer and parents may pick up the results during the summer or receive them at the beginning of the next school year. The results of these tests enable the teachers to track the progress of individual students as well as assessing the progress of the school as a whole. Because the tests are American and do reflect American culture and content, certain parts of the test are given less emphasis. The national percentile ranks give opportunity for our school to see how we are doing compared with students in other international schools like ours.
Standard for Papers for Secondary
HAB has chosen to use the Modern Language Association (MLA) guide for publishing papers. Teachers will often require students to hand in work according to MLA standards. Students will be given a copy of these guidelines. There will be a reduction in grade for papers not properly formatted.
