Worship on a Sunday is great. But it can't do everything, in fact Sundays have serious limitations. Have you ever listened to a Sunday sermon and thought 'that's great - but how do I work that out in my life?' Have you ever wished you had more time to get to know someone better, than just through chatting over coffee after church? Have you wished for the chance to worship and pray as part of a small group of people? If the answer is yes then you need a small group!
They provide the place to ask those questions about the Bible and how God's word is relevant to us today. They enable you to get to know other Christians in more depth and are a place where friendships are built. They provide a setting for prayer and worship with friends. They offer a means of engaging in practical action, putting faith into practice. And that, after all, is what church is about - a group of people who worship and pray, engage with God's word and seek to live it out - it's church, midweek, in a home.
