5TH-8TH GRADE DES MOINES FIELD TRIP:

The students in grades 5-8 went to Des Moines on Tuesday, March 27. They left school at 6:00 A.M. Their first stop was at the Capitol where they were given a tour of the building and learned about the Iowa legislature. In the afternoon the students visited Living History Farms and experienced what farm life was like in the 1850’s. Before heading for home they ate supper at Applebee’s and arrived back in Inwood about 10:15 P.M. Thank you to Craig Landegent for chaperoning and driving the bus for us, and thank you to Sharon Landegent, Linda Meyer, and Julie Vande Vegte for going along as chaperones.
