The New Member Outreach Committee has  as its primary duties, the recognition, welcoming, and indoctrination of new members into the Matthews Presbyterian Church:

•  In concert with the pastor(s), it identifies visitors from a weekly review of the Friendship Pads, maintains a record  of recurrent visits to MPC, and coordinates communication with visitors and new members;
• Conducts a four-week Inquirer's Class for prospective members of Matthews Presbyterian Church;
• Obtains Shepherds who will provide guidance and support to new members during the first year of membership;
• Provides socials for new members or those about to enter into membership of MPC.
