HELP SPREAD THE JOY!
Matthews Presbyterian Church has prepared and delivered hot meals on Christmas Day for more than 15 years. The families we visit would not have a hot meal on this sacred day if it were not for the wonderful community of faith that we share. In the past our families have included people currently helped through The Union County Department of Social Services, The Help Center Friendship Trays Program, Hospice, Albemarle Road Elementary School, Habitat for Humanity and others within our community of faith. Each year the needs change so we try to help where we can.
Sign-up sheets are posted in Friendship Court and they include food items needed to prepare the meals. As Saturday, December 22nd approaches, we will need volunteers to help prepare the meals here at the church, and on Christmas Day, we'll need lots of caring folks to warm the food and deliver dinners to the families.
What a glorious way to share the Peace of God and the gift of Bethlehem with our neighbors!
