Habitat Build 2007
A VERY BIG THANKS is extended to all the dedicated volunteers that made this year's habitat build a huge success (including meals, financial support, donated materials, and of course all of the hours of labor). Our congregation should be very proud of the profound difference it is making in the lives of at least one Matthews family. A dedication for this beautiful new home will be held on Saturday June 30 at 10:30 a.m. at the build site. Please come join in this special time in the life of our community.
The owner of this new home, Monique Rice, will be in attendance for our morning worship service on July 15. She and her family are so excited to move into this beautiful new home in July and would like to express her appreciation during a Minute for Missions. After the service, Monique will be presented with a "pounding" in the friendship court. You may be wondering what a "pounding" might be. This is a collection of nonperishable housewarming items like a pound of sugar, a pound of coffee, canned foods, pasta, jarred sauces, boxed meals like hamburger helper, sugar, flour, salt, pepper, paper products, cleaning supplies, dish towels, and cloths. If you would like to make a contribution towards this special collection to help welcome the Rice family into their new home, please drop yout items off in a dedicationed box in the friendship court.
Thanks, Mission's Committee.
