Ruth De Bruin is teaching kindergarten for the nineteenth year. She graduated from Dordt College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and took further classes in Early Childhood from Morningside College. She previously taught middle school science at Pella Christian Grade School and fourth grade at Oskaloosa Christian. Ruth is also on the music teaching team at Oskaloosa Christian and is responsible for the general music in grades 5 - 8 and the middle school choir. Ruth and her husband, Harold, have four adult children and five grandchildren. Son Rex, lives at Ames, and Joel lives near Wright and farms with them near Fremont. Daughter Rachel, husband Will Grant and children Anna, Cora, and Daniel live near Glenrock, Wy. Heather, husband Randall de Boer, and children Willem and Adlih live near Charlottetown, PEI.
