Peter pumping water
Here you see one of our Ugandan pen pals named Peter, pumping water.   In the background are bricks to use for the new school's construction.  Four acres have already been purchased and the people have made 10,000 bricks from mud and straw baked in the sun.  As our 2006 Mission Project, the students of Oskaloosa Christian School will provide financial assistance to actually construct the building.  Their new center will be called "Children of Hope Vocational Centre."  It will provide training for children to learn how to farm, carpenter, tailor, make bricks, and weave.

Samuel, one of our Uganda pen pals
All of the students at Oskaloosa Christian had their pictures taken, and in groups of 2 or 3, were assigned a pen pal.  These pictures will be sent to their pen pals in Uganda, along with a letter from each student, on November 3.  We will look forward to receiving letters back from our pen pals sometime in January or February!  Our students have also received pictures of their own Ugandan pen pals.

This is Samuel, one of our pen pals in Uganda.  He loves farming and taking care of animals like cows, etc., and he enjoys learning.  He plays football and likes singing.

Monica
Monica comes from a poor Christian family who does not have enough food.  Their source of income is from digging.  She is healthy and enjoys singing in her church.   She loves Christ and prays morning and night. She knows John 13:34, "This is my commandment, that you love one another."

We have included pictures of just a few of our pen pal orphans in Uganda.  There are many others who also need our help.  Please pray for these precious children, that their material needs will be provided, and that they will come to know the saving power and love of Christ.  Please consider how YOU can help the students of Oskaloosa Christian School be a light to the world and be obedient to Christ's command in John 13:34.

If you would like to give to our 2006 Mission Project, we will be collecting money during the month of November.  If you feel led to help, send your donation to:
