• Graduated from Dordt College with a BA in Education and an area in Psychology and Sociology
• taught 4th grade at PCGS for 4 years
• taught Spark at PCGS for 1 year
• substituted in the Pella area schools for many years
• 2'd year back to teaching at PCGS after 9 years as an insurance associate
• married to Phil and they have four children who graduated from Pella Christian Grade (Lindsay, Dan, Matt, and Joseph)

I grew up on a grain farm in DeMotte, Indiana and have 5 brothers and 3 sisters. My husband, Phil, is a native of this area and has 4 siblings in town. Our daughter Lindsay graduated from Calvin College and was married this summer to John. They live in Grand Rapids where she works as a commercial photographer and studio manager and he owns a landscaping business. Dan graduated from Dordt and is working in the office of Precision Inc in Pella. Matt is still a student at Dordt College. Joseph is studying graphic technology at DMACC this year.

One of my favorite Bible verses is Romans 8 :26,
"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express."
