I grew up in West Michigan and attended Jenison Christian School and then Unity Christian High School. After graduating from Calvin College, I moved to Iowa 4 years ago to teach here at Pella Christian. My family still lives in West Michigan and I love to go back and visit them, but I enjoy my new home and the friendly people in Pella.
I spend much of my time on schoolwork, but there is always plenty to do outside of school too. I like to spend time hanging out with friends. We eat, play games, and relax together. I love to read, especially books to share with my students. I enjoy walking, biking, and rollerblading. My newest adventure is running. So far I have run two races, the Klompen Klassic and the Living History Farms Race.
I love it here in fifth grade! I have had 4 classes of wonderful students so far. It's amazing to watch how the students grow throughout the year - physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and spiritually. I'm glad to be a part of the amazing things that God does in fifth grade! |
