Parent Newsletter for April, 2008
Dear Parents,
April is here and before we know it May will be on our tails! This has certainly been a successful preschool year. Thank you so much for supporting our preschool! As parents, you play an essential role in your child’s academic development. Without your support, your child would not be as successful as they currently are.
During this month we will complete the alphabet! We’ll introduce x, y, and z. We’ll have an x-ray technician coming to show us what our bones look like inside our bodies! For Y we’re going to make yellow collages and answer yes/no questions. We’ll take a virtual tour of a zoo and do activities with zoo animals. Our Bible lessons will focus on Jesus’ teachings to his people.
Please make sure you follow the snack calendar and continue to bring healthy snacks! A variety is always good!
Because of various Friday activities we will be having – there will be NO SHOWAND TELL IN APRIL!
I’m sure you’ve had the chance of reading the pink note and seen notes about RAMM (Read a Million Minutes). The theme is Camp Read S’more. Basically, over the month of April we want you reading with your child and recording how many minutes you spend reading each week. (A paper will be sent home to keep track on.)
Important Dates

April 7 – Kindergarten Round-up (if your child is coming to SCS next year for Kindergarten come to round-up!)
April 8 – No Preschool today – Preschool Round-up day
April 15 – class is 12:45–3:30
April 17 – program practice 8:30-10
Program tonight at 7 pm
April 25 – make-up dental screening (this will take place at the beginning of our preschool day)
