| Senior Pastor |
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know you have eternal life. 1 John 5:13 |
It is evident that Pastor Somers loves the Lord and His Church. That love has been deepening since he accepted Jesus as Saviour at the age of 9 and by the age of 11, Pastor Somers knew God was calling him to ministry. Before coming to StoneRidge in 1987 (at that time, Temple), he served for 13 years in his home church in Sillikers, NB.
Pastor Somers is a forthright speaker, passionately challenging people to acknowledge God and submit to Him in all areas of life.
One blessing Pastor Somers is most thankful for is his family's commitment to Christ. He and Ardith have been married for over 25 years. They have two children, Tamara and Adam, and thanks to Tamara and her husband Matt, Les and Ardith are now proud grandparents.
In his spare time, you can find Pastor Somers engrossed in a western or detective novel, fly-fishing for salmon on the Miramichi River, helping out on his father's farm or exploring the far-reaches of Nova Scotia with Ardith.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service. 1 Timothy 1:12 |
You don't have to know Pastor Don long to experience his passion for God and his passion for life. Pastor Don's love for the Lord began when he knelt beside his bed with his mother at the age of 5. His desire to serve became evident not long after that. His grade primary teacher asked what he wanted to be when he grew up and he answered, "a preacher!"
Pastor Don is a dynamic speaker, a gift he began using at the age of 13. Before coming to StoneRidge in 1999, he served at churches in Virginia and Maryland. Being geographically close to his family was one of the things that drew him back to the Halifax area, where he grew up.
He is incredibly thankful to God for his strong Christian heritage and God's continued blessing on his family. Pastor Don is a traveller, a cyclist, and loves being with people.

| Pastor of Children's Ministry |
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20 |
Victor’s ministry with children began when he was only a child himself. Shortly after trusting Christ at the age of five his parents included him in their Vacation Bible School ministry doing puppets. Since that time Victor has enjoyed communicating the love of Christ to young and old, while honoring the Scriptures with accuracy and clarity.
God has also given him the opportunity to serve in churches from Florida to Colorado to Miramichi, NB.
Victor says that his current ministry at Stoneridge is “as close to his heart as anything he has done before”. Helping Children take their next step towards Jesus Christ and supporting families in raising godly children is what gets him up in the morning.
Victor has been married 11 years to his wife Jodi and they have one son, Trenton.

When he was still a long way off, his father saw him. His heart pounding, he ran out, embraced him, and kissed him. The son started his speech: 'Father, I've sinned against God, I've sinned before you; I don't deserve to be called your son ever again.' But the father wasn't listening. He was calling to the servants, 'Quick. Bring a clean set of clothes and dress him. Put the family ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Then get a grain-fed heifer and roast it. We're going to feast! We're going to have a wonderful time! My son is here?given up for dead and now alive! Given up for lost and now found!' And they began to have a wonderful time. Luke 15: 20-24

Lisa's personal journey with Christ began when she was in grade Primary and attended a friend's Backyard Bible Club. That's when she invited Jesus into her life. It's been a process, that's for certain - but she's lovin' it!
Her passion is seeing people, especially women, use their God-given gifts and talents in service for Him.
There is nothing better than watching people grow in their walk with Christ, watching them realize He has gifted them for something special and then watching them 'go for it' and learning good lessons all the way! It's all about the journey and people's willingness to allow God to change them, grow them, challenge them and, of course, laugh with them.

| Pastor of Teen Ministry | I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I Corinthians 9:22b |
I thank God for the journey that He placed me on; a journey in which I discovered Jesus at a young age. Through my younger years my commitment was challenged, yet it grew consistently. I was fortunate to have godly parents and other influencers to help guide me through my life and my decision-making.
I had the privilege to spend four years in Bible school learning, growing, and preparing for what God was calling me to do. After this time I had the joy of pastoring the Habitation Baptist Church in Port Royal, NS for 6 years.
In the fall of 2006 I was asked to join the staff of StoneRidge as Youth Pastor.
What a great journey so far!
I have a tremendous family: Shelly, my wife, and four children; Jonathan, Jessica, Jaylynn and Jordan (the “J” crew).
On this journey God has infused in me a passion for two things: leadership and young people. A verse that drives me in my purpose as a pastor is I Corinthians 9:22b; “I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.” This verse reminds that we need to be willing to do what it takes to reach the teens of this day and age, to see them walk with Jesus in a very difficult world.
On the side I spend time playing basketball, mountain biking, and being the family chauffer on my days off.
