I am currently in my seventh year of teaching following a 33-year career in the corporate world.  I hope to bring many life experiences into my teaching.  I have a Bachelor of Science in Business degree from Northeastern Illinois University (Chicago).  In 2003, I completed the Teacher Education program at University of Illinois (Springfield) with a middle school endorsement in science.  I currently teach 8th grade science; 7th grade religion, science, and language arts; and 6th grade science and language arts.  I am privileged to be assistant coach for the scholastic bowl team.  Once scholastic bowl ends I will also coach the spelling bee team, and begin a twice-monthly book club for middle school.  In my spare time (summer), I enjoy reading, gardening, hiking, bicycling, and cooking/baking.  I prefer to be contacted through my email listed below.
