Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in the position as a Kidsafe Accountability Coordinator for your church. We pray this letter is informative and assists you in your decision to serve in this important volunteer missions position. As you consider this position, we will be praying for God's direction to be known.
The Kidsafe Accountability Coordinator will be trained to identify unsafe situations, assist with training, and provide accountability for church leaders to meet safety standards. The training consists of six sessions by phone on a computer at home or church. There will be ongoing training following the initial six sessions. Please review our entire website to learn more about keeping kids safe in churches.
The qualifications for the Kidsafe Accountability Coordinator are:
- Must be a born-again female Christian for more than five years
- Must have organization and communication skills
- Must not have a registered sex offender living with you or who is an immediate family member
- Must not have a sexual or pornography addiction
- Must provide two letters of recommendation from church leaders outlining your spiritual qualities prior to the phone interview with Keeping Kids Safe Staff.
- This position is not recommended for some sexual abuse victims, or close friends or relatives of recent victims, since the training involves intense emotional topics dealing with sex offenders. This will be discussed during the interview process to determine if this position is right for you.
The Kidsafe Accountability Coordinator position is a volunteer missions position serving their own church.
Do I need to raise my own support?
The answer is no in most cases. We know churches will invest in your mission position because church leaders desire accountability. We ask churches to support our ministry at $35 monthly. If your church is having budget difficulties, you are welcome to pay for your own training at $15 monthly or raise support from church friends.
As you pray and consider God's direction for this mission opportunity, please call us with your questions. We can be reached at 615-631-5075 or visit our website www.KidsSafeMinistries.com.
With the warmest blessings,
Greg Sporer, M.A & Steve Vann, M.A.R.
