The Chancel Choir(adult) rehearses Thursday evenings at 8:00. High school students are welcome to join and enjoy a combined social and musical experience. Expert vocalists not required--just be able to carry a tune. |

For adults, single and married, this group meets on the 4th Saturday of the month for an afternoon or evening of fellowship, food, and entertainment. Activities are announced. |

WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION

The Women's Association program includes Bible study and an active interest in the mission needs of the community and the world. Several social functions are held each year to highlight the group's activities. The Association is divided into Circles.

Our continuously managed library includes books, audio and video tapes related to Christian education for both adults and children, as well as topics of general interest including biography, fiction, history, mystery, and cooking.

This is a program to make every member a participating part of our church. Members of this program become partners and are assigned the responsibility of making personal contacts with several other families in the congregation. Members assist the Pastor in creating an outlet for sharing, listening and encouraging families in a variety of situations. |

DEACONS

Our Deacons minister to the needy, to the sick, and to the friendless. They visit the ill and infirm, oversee the nursery, and organize church-wide social activities. During worship services, they serve Communion, and read the scriptures. |

These hearty hand-shakers serve on a volunteer basis at Sunday and special services. . |

Representatives of the congregation who meet and greet worshipers, guide them to seats, and receive the collection. |

PARIOTIC SUNDAY

Once each year, to coincide with either Memorial or Veterans Day, a special tribute is added to a Sunday service to honor those members of the congregation, past and present, who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. |

ST. ANDREW'S DAY OBSERVANCE

At a single Sunday worship service in November of each year First Presbyterian observes St. Andrew's--the patron saint of Scotland--Day and celebrates its Scotish roots by following a form of worship that dates back to 1564. |

BOY SCOUTS

First Presbyterian provides a home base and meeting facility for Troop 354, Willow Grove, Boy Scouts of America. The troop meets Thurdays at 7:00 pm.

FRIENDS and NEIGHBORS

"Friends and Neighbors", is a new fellowship group that brings together friends and neighbors from the local community fun and informal weekday social activities.
Friends and Neighbors meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 1:00 p.m., All are invited. |
