PRAYER CHAIN

Currently about 20 servants within the church are involved in this ministry. The total group is divided into smaller groups (called Links) of about 5 persons each. After receiving a prayer request, the initial contact person calls or e-mails the first person in each link to relay the request. That person contacts the next person who contacts the next person and so on down the line. Except for the initial contact person, each person is required to make only one call or contact.

Prayer requests can be made by anyone inside or outside the church. Some requests are urgent, some are for a definite period of time, and some are long-term. All are prayed as pleas to God for His will to be done in the lives of those who are hurting, frstrated, bewildered, suffering, uncertain, etc. Prayers of praise and thanksgiving are offered up as well when postiive outcomes result in the lives of those for whom Prayer Chain Members have been praying.

Praying on behalf of someone else is called intercessory prayer. That's what the Prayer Chain is all about.
