Areas of Session responsibility are listed below. For ease of memory we centered them around the acronym WE GROW, which reflects the image of the journey of maturity in faith which we all are on together.
Elder Responsibilities .. WE GROW
WORSHIP: Diane Reist Central to our experience as people of God, we gather to worship together.
Enjoy FELLOWSHIP: Terry Zahradnik A church family should be a place where you know others and are known by them.
GROW Spiritually: Cheri Buresh (Christian Education) We are all somewhere on the spectrum of growing into the likeness of Christ. The Growth group looks for ways to help us, from youngest to oldest, keep on that path.
RESPOND in Faith: Christal Bressler and Dave Mortenson (Stewardship & Mission) How do we respond to the awesome gift we are given in God's grace working in our lives? Here we have combined two committees: Stewardship and Mission. Whether we are supporting the church budget or reaching out in mission, at its core is that response.
ORDER our Church: Terry Smith and Bob Zvacek (Personnel; Property) We wouldn't be Presbyterians if we didn't do things decently and in order. This group works with property, personnel and provides a liaison to finance.
WELCOME Others: Leonard Reyman (Outreach) We're not the church for ourselves, but to invite others on the journey.
