Worship here at Spring Creek Road Baptist Church is an exciting experience! We firmly believe that Worship is a "lifestyle" and not just 30 minutes of music on Sunday Mornings. Worship is the outcry of Total Thanksgiving from the heart of the believer to lift up the name of Jesus Christ for his unconditional love and unmerited grace, which was given to us on the cross of Calvary. We believe that Worship is a VERB. You have to give God your heart and lift Him up in Spirit and In Truth in order to experience real worship. Otherwise you are merely a spectator.

Here at Spring Creek Road Baptist Church we have thrown out the idea and even the term, "Worship Wars". We believe that worship is for everyone and all styles of music and praise are welcome. We have a blended music style here but we like to focus more on the heart of the worshiper. We believe that if a Christian has given his heart daily in worship, then the styles of music sung on any given Sunday should not prevent him or her from experiencing great Corporate Worship with the Body of Christ. Why is this?  Well, we believe that the scripture teaches us that Worship is not for us but rather for God. We don't worship one another. Instead, we worship the only one worthy of worship, Jesus Christ. When you take this idea of worship and apply it to your life, you will realize that not completely enjoying one style of music or another is okay... because the music wasn't for you. It was for God! As long as the heart of the believer is focused on Christ and his or her heart is intent on truly worshiping Him, then music styles simply continue to change as they always have and Christ is magnified in it all. So whether you like Hymns, Choruses, Anthems, Southern Gospel, or Contemporary, there is a place for you in our Worship

At SCRBC, we are in COVENANT with each other as a body of Christ and our responsibility to love, support, enrich and fellowship with each other is vital. When a Christian is out of fellowship with his or her covenant family, then real worship in the heart of that believer is completely impossible. The bible teaches in 1 John that "If you say you are in Christ yet you despise your brother, then the love of God is not in you."

We want everyone that comes into our fellowship to experience true worship and for those who have never accepted Christ, we pray that the worship time would direct their hearts to a place where they are able to hear God call them into a relationship with him.
