Servant Evangelism
Servant Evangelism is a "no strings" approach to reaching people for Christ. Our Servant Evangelism efforts began shortly after our 40 Days of Purpose Campaign here at Spring Creek Road Baptist Church. Our Unity Class (Young Adult Bible Study Class) began to search for innovative ways of reaching people for Christ. We found a great website at: servantevangelism.com.
On this website, we found things like Totally Free Lemonade Stands, Feeding football teams after practice, and Free window washing in parking lots. These totally unselfish acts of kindness sparked many different feelings from those who received them. We found that the mindset of people today is that, "nothing is really totally free". In fact after performing these acts of kindness, we had many individuals ask us questions like: "What's the catch?" or "Where are the hidden cameras?" Some people would actually just walk by and not even acknowledge we were there because they felt like it was some kind of fundraiser.
In any case, we simply met the need and gave them a card that read: "This is our FREE gift to you. There are no strings attached. We want you to know that God loves you and we do to."
