The M.E.O.W. (Mutual Encouragement of Women) Fellowship got together one Saturday to learn how to create Diaper Cakes (a popular new baby gift assembled from diapers and baby items/toys). Jenifer Anseth of M.R. Deigns & Gifts led the training; and once the basic technique was learned, all the ladies had very creative ideas of how to decorate their own gifts. The group made over 20 "cakes" of approximately 450-500 diapers and miscellaneous baby towels, onsies, bottles, stuffed animals, shampoo/lotions, etc.
Several ladies then transported the cakes over to the Life Choices Women's Clinic where they were gratefully received by Sheila Riley of Life Choices. A tour of the facility and a preview of their new 4-D Ultrasound equipment was very emotional for the group - being able to see such a clear and vital image of the child in the mother's womb and knowing that this facility is helping mother's to preserve the life of their unborn child, brought tears to quite a few eyes. One ultrasound even showed an unborn child covering up his ears when he heard his older brother outside screaming!
