Reformed Confessions: Showing the Light of Scripture It is often claimed that Reformed confessions and creeds, regardless of their contents, necessarily conflict with a commitment to the Word of God as our ultimate authority in all matters of Christian faith and living. What if really the only way to have "no creed but Christ" is to have a creed that summarizes the non-negotiables about Christ, His Father, the Holy Spirit, and our sin that they graciously redeem us from? The thesis here is that Reformed creeds and confessions actually show the light of the Bible alone, and do not attempt to add light to it.
