Trish Alligood - Administrative Assistant
anchorhouse@juno.com |
| Trish and Anchor House are almost synonymous. You just can't imagine the one without the other. She started as an almost 40 hour a week volunteer and now serves as General Operations Manager. She does all the shopping for the store, invoices ships for donations, runs the Ditty bag program, entertains visitors, serves meals, cleans carpets, etc. etc. etc. But most of all, she loves the Lord and lets others know about what Jesus can mean to them in their lives as well. Praise God for the Trishes in this world. Her husband, Michael, works at the Port and also volunteers doing the physical work and even serving in the kitchen! Thanks to both. |

| Michael and Trish Alligood - Volunteer
| Michael and Trish are a great Christian couple and an inspiration to everyone who comes into contact with them. Michael may seem quiet, but he speaks and acts out his faith loud and clear. Michael is active in youth work at his church, works in the Anchor House kitchen almost every noon hour, while he works full-time for Port Manatee in maintenance. His greatest contribution is encouraging Trish in her responsibilities as General Operations Manager. Thanks for all you do and the Spirit of Christ in which you do it. |

She subsequently invited two more friends to volunteer with her on Tuesday evenings, Gwen McElroy and Layon Robinson. She is anointed with the Holy Spirit and shares it with others. |

Marilyn Zimmerman - Volunteer
flmarz1@aol.com |
| When a previous chaplain spoke to Marilyn's church, she immediately felt the Lord leading her to minister at Anchor House. Marilyn is very mission-oriented and strongly believes that retired person should remain active in ministry for the Lord. Leaving Wisconsin Dells in the winter is hard, but the Florida sun beckons. She volunteers on Friday which has become Fish Friday lately, which all the men love. She comments, "As a new observer, I immediately noticed the deep respect everyone has, who walks through the doors of Anchor House, for Chaplain Bob and Trish. They know it is a special place of God." |
