Our congregation is composed of folks from all walks of life. We include the very young and the elderly. We take a strong interest in families without forgetting that family patterns can change in the course of life. We have an active leadership on our governing body, the Session, which meets on the fourth Sunday evening of each month at 7 p.m. The members of the Session are elected by the congregation and are organized into ministries which reflect the important areas of our church's life. These twelve folks, young and older, men and women, seek to catch the vision of what the Lord wants to accomplish through Windy Cove at this particular time.
The Session is the ruling body of the local church. It is made up of Elders elected by the congregation for three-year terms to manage the mission, programs, and finances of the church. Twelve elders serve on Windy Cove's Session.
The Session is divided into Ministries, to organize and oversee the work of the church. Within each Ministry, many members carry out the ministry and mission of the church.Volunteers are always welcome to help and serve with these Ministries.
