| Pastor Dave got his undergraduate education from Grand Rapids Junior College (66-68) and Western Michigan University (68-70). He got his Master of Divinity degree friom Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1976, and his Doctor of Ministry Degree from Covenant Theological Seminary in 2003. He has served Bethel Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan (76-81); First Reformed Church in Grant, Michigan (81-90); Heritage Reformed Church in Hudsonville, Michigan (90-00) and has been serving First Reformed Church in Sheldon, Iowa since September of 2000. He and his wife Jean, are the parents of two children, Abbie and Jesse and two granchildren. |

Jody Habinck - Associate Pastor

| Jody Habinck was born and raised in Onawa, Iowa. He served our country for 8 1/2 years in the 185th Air National Guard (1999-2004) during which time he traveled and served in serveral parts of the world. He graduated from Northwestern College in 2004 with a degree in Religion and History. His call to ministry brought him to Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michighan where he graduated in May of 2007 with a Masters of Divinity Degree. Jody is married to Rebecca and they have a son, Lukas Thomas who was born on October 4, 2006. |

| Gordon Bloemendaal - Minister of Calling

| Pastor Gordon graduated from Northwestern College in 1973. He attend Western Theological Seminary and graduated in 1976. Before coming to Sheldon he served as pastor at First Reformed Church, Alexandria, Iowa, First Reformed Church, Rock Valley, Iowa and American Reformed Church, Luverne, Minnesota. He began serving as Minister of Calling at
First, Sheldon in 1996. His job consists of calling on the shut-ins and elderly of our church family. |

Shelley Hoogers - Director of Christian Education

| Shelley became our Christian Education Director in 2008. Her
job responsibilities consist of overseeing the curriculum for the Sunday School, Family Night, VBS and small group Bible Studies.
She and her husband, Dave, live in Sheldon and are the parents of two daughters. |

| Rachel Roozeboom - Youth Director
|
|
| Rachel joined our staff the summer of 2009. She is a graduate of
Dordt College at Sioux Center. Her hometown is Manhattan, Kansas. She will be leading both Junior and Senior High youth groups. |

Carol Sterk - Administrative Secretary

Office Hours: Monday thru Friday, 8:00 - 4:00
Carol Sterk has served as secretary at First Reformed for many years. Her job consists of being office manager, editing the Sunday bulletin and the monthly newsletter, as well as keeping membership records and general secretarial work for the church staff and various committees. She and her husband, Harold, have one married son and three grandchildren. |

| Wally Wolthuizen has been on staff at First Reformed Church since January of 2004. He and his wife Dianne have 2 children. |
